The player takes turns removing marbles from the board in an attempt to clear the entire board of all marbles. If a player cannot move a marble because it would create two or more groups of three or more marbles in a row, column or diagonal then the player will be unable to take their turn until at least one of these groups is removed by the other player(s).

The winner of this game is the person who clears the wooden solitaire board first and makes sure that they have not left any marbles sitting out of place at the end of their turn.
